How I Started in Business

August 13th, 2007 . by admin

It had never been an ambition of mine to start my own business. I always imagined that I would be working albeit in the good position, but within a company reporting to senior staff.

The main aspect of what changed my mind was meeting people who ran businesses, some of whom were doing very well. It dispelled a lot of the views that I held previously about the owners of small businesses.

I found that there were varying reasons why people were working for themselves, some did not want to or could not go the college, and some could not get a job and others because they had a plan and wanted to execute it.

What this realisation did was to make it clear that it was not always the best and brightest that ended up starting their own businesses; sometimes it was also those who had no alternative options.

The next stage of the process was the growing sentiment that if they could do it, I can do it. So here I am with my own blog trying to run a business, having some successes but most of all, a lot of fun.
